Recap
The IIHS Bohemian Series wrapped up after seven days, bringing together teams from over 10 nations competing across 8 divisions. Here’s a summary of how each division played out.
12U Division
Spain’s Rudos led the 12U division, showing strong and consistent gameplay. They were challenged by a skilled Czech team, while first-time participants IHK Karlovac from Croatia made a great impression, especially with a standout goalie performance.
14U Division
The Czech National Team came out on top in the 14U division, winning a 4-2 final against the Prague Rats. Coached by Czech Men’s National Coach Martin Mecera, the Prague Rats gave them a tough match and had a solid showing throughout. Spain’s Rudos brought two competitive teams who fought hard in the round robin but ultimately finished with bronze after the semi-finals.
16U Division
The 16U competition, held in Mlada Boleslav, was among the tournament’s most intense, with teams from the Czech Republic, Spain, Slovakia, Italy, and France. The Czech National Team took gold in a tight final against Puck Hub, a team with players from Spain and France. A close semi-final between the Czech and Slovak teams stood out, while Rudos claimed bronze after edging out Shakers in a playoff game. Italy’s Edera team put up a strong effort, setting a good benchmark for future tournaments.
18U Division
The 18U division saw the Shakers compete with an international roster of European and American players, making it all the way to the final. In the end, they narrowly missed gold, losing 4-3 to a strong Czech National Team. Rudos and Edera rounded out the division, showing room for growth for upcoming seasons.
21U Division
The 21U division had a different feel this year, with Kaceri from Slovakia defending their title. They won a 4-3 final against Shakers Addiction, a mixed team with Czech and Spanish players, in a match that extended into double overtime. Brighton Storm, the first team from Great Britain to participate, fought hard and took bronze after losing in the semi-finals to Shakers Addiction and defeating Slimes.
Men’s Division
The Men’s Division saw competitive play between teams with different styles. Munich’s Badgers put up a strong campaign, while Czech Republic’s WTF team secured third place against Brighton Storm. Ultimately, the Czech team Lovosice took the title, finishing undefeated in the tournament.
Women’s Pro Division
The Women’s Pro Division finals were a repeat of last year, with Spain’s Mockingbirds again defeating the Shakers. Czech team Erix excelled in the round robin but fell short in the semi-finals. Spain’s Rudos, one of the youngest teams in the division, managed a solid 6-0 win over Shakers, showing promise as they look ahead to next season.
